Bootcamp 4 - Build a Sales Commission application using Catalyst

Hey there, Catalyst Community!

We're inviting you to our fourth Bootcamp!  This multi-part Bootcamp series glosses over relevant, real-time use-cases where Catalyst can be used to solve challenges.

In this upcoming session, we will build a Sales Commission application using Catalyst.

These Bootcamps aim to help you and your peers, learn to build serverless solutions together.  It is space for you to understand Catalyst better, and drive your businesses.  It is also an avenue to connect with like-minded serverless developers in this niche area!  These sessions are two hours long and employ use-case based discussions.

Use Case

Mark is the Director of sales at Zylker Corporation.  He needs to calculate the sales commission for his sales agents.  He wants to use a very unique algorithm to calculate the sales commission for each of his agents, based on the parameters such as the number of cross-sells, up-sells etc.  Additionally, his company already uses a SaaS application to capture all sales-related data.  Let's help Mark build a dashboard for his team's performance to display the commission they've earned.

Level of Difficulty
Applicable for beginners with little to no experience in Catalyst, but with prior coding experience

Go ahead and register if you
- are keen to learn all about serverless development
- want to upgrade your application to a serverless system

Zoho's Catalyst comes with a host of other features that we'll cover throughout these Bootcamps.  Catalyst is hosted on Zoho's reliable platform that handles 100+ applications, with more than three new applications deployed globally every year.  In addition, Catalyst is a pro-code platform, which means that you bring your own code.  Currently, Catalyst supports Java and Nodejs.  Finally, Catalyst's full-stack serverless offerings list WebClient hosting, caching, and backend services like FileStore and DataStore to create an end-to-end application.

Headsup - We are working to bring you our first hackathon.  Join the Bootcamp to learn more about Zoho's serverless platform Catalyst and then attend the hackathon with the Catalyst Community, to showcase your understanding.
